About Jen
Podcast Comedian. Singer. Paranormal Investigator. Business Owner. Host. Producer. Songwriter. Editor. Storyteller.

JEN DANCZAK's roots began sprouting in a small town outside of Cleveland, Ohio in December of 1991. Immediately grasping the idea of entertainment from a young age, Jen surrounded herself with activities of showmanship. Upon receiving gifts such as a microphone, guitar, and karaoke machine from 'Santa' during her middle school years, they quickly became her most coveted possessions--- singing at the top of her lungs in her bedroom every day and every night. Using another Christmas present, a microphone recorder toy called TalkGirl, she wrote and recorded her first songs at just 11 years old.

Jen continued her exploration of performance and music throughout her education, participating in orchestra by playing violin and joining her school's choir program. Alongside the choir program, Jen was a part of an all-female chorus, SIRENS. In terms of entertainment through way of sports, Jen was a competitive figure skater alongside being a talented softball player for many years. In her early teens, she went on to claim tennis as her favorite sport to play, attempting to dominate every court she stepped on and earning a spot on her high school's varsity team.
(Fun Fact: Jen was voted "Most Talkative" for her Senior Superlatives during high school. I'm sure it's very surprising to everyone.)

Upon graduating high school, Jen's passion for fashion and endless love of big cities collided as she embarked on a move to New York City and enrolled at LIM College, The Laboratory Institute of Merchandising. Here is where Jen worked on the runways of New York Fashion Week as she studied the world of fashion merchandising. One semester later, she transferred to Fashion Institute of Technology. During her time at FIT, Jen interned for the CondeNast magazine, TeenVOGUE, and became a contributor for multiple online publications, such as JoonBug and Paranormal Pop Culture. Towards the end of her tenure, Jen began to explore the connection of broadcasting and journalism through shadowing members of the FIT TV program.

Jen shifted back to the Midwest, attending Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She began to explore more into her love for broadcasting, becoming a DJ for the school's radio station, Orchard Radio, and interning at the Mojo In The Morning show at the nearby Detroit radio station, 95.5. Here is also where she took her first acting class and wrote a fashion column for the school's newspaper. Upon completion of the school year, Jen moved south to northwestern Ohio to attend Bowling Green State University. She earned her first degree, Associate of Science, through BGSU Firelands.

Jen knew she didn't want to stop at an Associate degree, so she made her way back to northeast Ohio, enrolling at The University of Akron. Over the next two years, Jen put in tremendous work at the school's award winning television program, ZTV, exploring various roles as reporter, host, producer and editor. Here she interviewed public figures, from Grammy winning musicians to politicians. Her fellow peers named Jen 'Most Outstanding Contributor' during the 2014 season. In 2014 and 2015, she earned two NATAS Emmy Award nominations in the Lower Great Lakes region for her work on the show, Lights, Camera, Akron!
She also was awarded from the Cleveland Press Club during her ZTV tenure.

Jen continued to dip her toes into the entertainment world by auditioning background acting roles and reality television shows.
Jen was featured on the season finale of TruTV's "Panic Button" for Season 1. In 2014, Jen acted as a waitress in a background role for "Criminal Activities," a movie filmed in Cleveland starring John Travolta.
During these final years of her undergrad studies, Jen interned for a local news station in Cleveland, WJW FOX 8, contributing alongside reporters around the Akron area. She also embarked on her first part-time position as a Sports Reporter at WMFD-TV in Mansfield, Ohio. Here is where she took stats, edited footage to scripts, and reported weekly "live" on air for high school football games.

Upon graduating with her Bachelor of Arts in 2015 and eager to put her experience to use, Jen moved west to become a Multimedia Journalist at ABC 21Alive/NBC33 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Each day, Jen would pitch and shoot numerous stories, edit the footage into 'VOSOTs' or 'packages,' write each script and deliver it live for several newscasts per shift. Here is where Jen dove in head first while interviewing a plethora of prominent figures, community leaders and citizens to tell their stories and share in their experiences.
(Jen also performed the National Anthem for the minor league hockey and baseball teams in Fort Wayne. What an honor!)

After the Hoosier State, Jen continued her journey to Los Angeles, taking her devotion to entertainment and adventure with her. Within a month of arriving in the City of Angels, Jen was cast as a background actor in the short film,"Renaissance Afternoon". Currently, she is taking on the narrating role for "Out Of The Ashes, We Will Rise," a dramatic, reality-based documentary.
